NISOM Presents ~ String Fever
These four world class musicians have put together a truly original show featuring five and six stringed electric violins, called violectras, a viola, and a cello. Some of the unique features of the show include Stringfever’s acclaimed version of “Bolero,” with all four members of the group playing one cello at the same time. At one point, the audience is challenged to a rousing game of name that tune, trying to guess 20 of the most popular film theme songs, including a rousing rendition of a “007, James Bond medley.” The fantastic culmination of the show is the group’s signature finale, “The History of Music . . . in 5 minutes.”

Steep Canyon Rangers
Steep Canyon Rangers released its first collaborative record with Steve Martin, ”Rare Bird Alert” which debuted at #1 on Billboard’s Bluegrass Chart and at #43 on the Billboard Top 200. While headlining festivals like MerleFest and Bonnaroo alongside Steve Martin for part each year, the Rangers continue to perform alone as a quintet on stages such as Telluride, RockyGrass, and ”A Prairie Home Companion” with Garrison Keillor. April 21st at 7:30 the Grand Pops under the direction of Robert Tomaro will provide live music for the silent film comedy, "The Kid Brother" starring Harold Lloyd.

May 20th @ 2:00 pm: "Summer Hits of the 50s & 60s" The Grand Pops Orch. & Chorus directed by Paul Hemmer performs a variety of summer songs, including hits of the 50's & 60's including "Theme from A Summer Place", "The Summer Wind," "Moonglow & Love Theme from Picnic" and many more.

Simon & Garfunkel Tribute

Ron Hawking ~ The Men & Their Music
Expanding on the thriving demand for the musical style of artists like Sinatra, Ron Hawking returns to the Chicago stage with The Men and Their Music – a repertoire of iconic numbers from many great male vocalists of all time including, Bobby Darin, Ray Charles, Billy Joel, and Frankie Valli, to name a few. Ron Hawking’s success is rooted in his ability to seamlessly step in and out of each personality he portrays on the stage. Going well beyond simply creating an impersonation, Hawking has an uncanny talent to reinterpret and redeliver each song with the same charm and charisma that made the original artists so beloved. With classic style and sophistication, Hawking’s new show,The Men and Their Music, is the perfect reflection to the energy and enthusiasm of big band music, Vegas lounge singers, and musical legends. Hawking has performed at New York’s Carnegie Hall with the Philly Pops Orchestra and has opened for such notables as Carol Channing, Sheena Easton, Robert Klein, and The Temptations, just to name a few. In addition to being an accomplished vocalist, he is also one of the country’s leading impressionists. Ghosts of the Grand
Many say the Grand is haunted. Paranormal groups confirm the fact that there IS a ghostly presense in the 122 year old theatre. Illusionist & Author Craig Beytien has written a show that's certain to bring chills and laughter as we recreate paranormal events from our historic past with Sarah Bernhardt, Al Jolson, John Phillip Sousa, and others. This is a family friendly Halloween season fun!!
